Master Abdurakhmon Nazirmatov is a Master Jeweler who works with gold, silver, non-ferrous metals, and natural stones. In his designs, he seeks to build on the traditional Tajik jewelry style. He was born in 1966. He graduated from Pavlovsk professional art school in 1989 with a degree in "Metal Arts." Master Abdurakhmon is also the Chairman of the Union of Craftsmen of Tajikistan (UCT), founded in 2012, to support the development and improvement of the art of the handicraft artisans of Tajikistan. The objective of the UCT, with a current membership of almost 100 artisans, is to gather all the artisans of the country, developing their professional skills and improving the quality of their production. Constant access to up-to-date information in the handicraft sector and straightforward cooperation are key elements of the UCT mission. The UCT is also working closely with artisans and handicraft organizations in Kyrgyzstan to develop an integrated handicraft sector in Central Asia.
